Vanessa Gravina and Edward Siravo in "Miss Julia" by August Strindberg, directed by Armando Pugliese, opened the prose season here in the Teatro dei Differenti this evening. One of the most intense dramas of August Strindberg, the intertwining love between Julia and servant Jean becomes a pretext to represent the cynical and ruthless power struggle between the declining aristocracy and the poorest, getting ready to take over power.
The director Armando Pugliese – the role of Miss Julia by Vanessa Gravina, while the role of Jean was entrusted to Edward Siravo.
Seen in the audience this evening were two of the actors working on the Spike Lee film, Miracle at St.Anna currently in production in this area – D.B Sweeney (who plays Colonel Driscol) and Walton Goggins (who plays Nokes)
