A miserable cold night in Barga this evening, with what feels like snow coming in across the mountains. A perfect night is staying in front of a good log fire. Instead, if you took the the road out of Barga past
Catagnana you would have got of warm surprise. Lorenzo at the Mocchia had organised a 60s evening and the place was packed out with cars backed up all the way down the mountain.
Stepping into the restaurant was just like stepping into a time machine, with the dial sets to the swinging 60s. Shuffles a Beatles tribute band were on stage and banging out songs for all they were worth from the Fab four. There was something very strange about listening to their near perfect Beatles sound and watching them perform in their black suits, white shirts and period musical instruments but with a huge colour tv playing away in the background above their heads.
Shuffles have been around on the scene since 1999 and have a strong fan base in their home town of Livorno. Their extremely well produced website, which includes videos, images and audio can be found here.
