Remember back in Februray we published an article about the possibilty of a cash point machine open for business in Barga Vecchia ? – (article here) There was a large conference held in the Teatro dei Differenti for local bankers. We asked in the article – “what exactly will Barga get out of all this movement of banks and bankers ? Word on the street is there is a good chance that finally there will be a cash point set up in Barga Vecchia – something that many people have been waiting for to make their life a little simpler. Although there are many banks down the hill in the Barga Giardino area there has not been a working bank inside the castle area for many years. maybe, just maybe, that is just about to change” This week things moved from an idea to a more concrete example of banking in Barga Vecchia. Viva la change !!
