Barga Vecchia is gradually becoming the in place for musicians photo sessions it would seem. Earlier on this month it was Paolo Nutini (article and images here) who was being snapped in the city. The images appearing in many newspapers and websites around the world the following morning as they showed Paolo with his new short haircut for the first time. This time is was a different style of musicians – jazz and some high class jazz muisicans too. Nico Gori who plays clarinetto/sax, Stefano Onorati the piano player, Stefano Senni double bass and Ettore Fioravanti the drummer. The photographer Giulia Guidi was looking for something quintessentially Barga in which to place the musicians … what better place than inside the Altana at the top of Casa Cordati? The Altana is the large covered roof-terrace which in the 1970’s  Bruno Cordati painted working directly onto the plaster in the style characteristic of his late period.
