It had been the declared intention of Walter Tognocchi, the owner of the luxury bed and breakfast establishment Acchiappasogni which recently opened in Barga Vecchia ( article here) to provide not just simply a place to stay for visitors to the city but also a centre for culture featuring the visual arts and music.
He has kept his promise this evening with the opening of the first art exhibition to be held in the Acchiappasogni.
Along with the artworks already in a permanent exhibition inside the Acchiappasogni by artists such as Oliviero Rainaldi and Massimo Catalani there can now be seen until the2nd January, an exhibition by the up-and-coming artist Mirka Ballabeni.
The Mayor of Barga, Marco Bonini was there at the official opening this evening of the exhibition “Frammenti” – Drawings, paintings and objects drawn from a variety of sources and in a mixed variety of medium which made up the first exhibition by Mirka and the first of a series of planned exhibitions to be held later next year at the Acchiappasogni.
