Virtual Travel Eating company moving to Barga ?

An unusual post on the barganews.com forum this afternoon...

Dear Sir.

I am a freelance journalist specialising in travel writing. I am currently working on a series entitled “Virtual Travel Eating” for a food manufacturing company. During the last six months I have visited many locations via the internet and by chance came across your site. I found the site interesting and the unusual style and location has sparked of interest in my clients marketing department.

Our readers (and hence potential customers) are generally young, well educated and very technical. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to publish my articles on your site. The company I am currently working for specializes in continental foods and their new line would make a perfect partner for barganews.com

If you are interested they would also like to investigate the possibilities of creating a Barganews line of speciality foods. I have noticed that mushrooms, sausages and cheeses are a common theme on your pages.

For legal purposes we would have to set up a small packaging operation in your area, our technicians calculate we need about 20 to 30 square meters of space. Maybe we could initially rent a small corner in your offices.

As well as commissioning me my clients have also commissioned various artists to create original artworks of their products. A sort of modern Campbells Soup series for pork and cheese. They would be interested in exhibiting these works in your associate art galley “The Osteria Angelio”.

The products are sausages, hams, cheeses, etc. Some of these products would have the barganews logo on them and for this your company would receive free advertising (URL of your choice on the back of each confection), although my clients designers have informed me that the original Barganews logo would have to undergo a little redesign to better reflect my clients products.

If you are interested then myself and my clients can visit you to discuss details.

more details are here

Shocking news!
It seems that Keane and barganews.com might actually be on the brink of making some money, truncating a long standing tradition!
What a sad day indeed!
