One of the main palazzos in Barga Vecchia has been covered up for the past few months with scaffolding and plastic sheeting for extensive restorations and renovations That work is now nearly finished and the painters have already been hard at work and the building will once more shortly be able to take pride of place overlooking Piazza Angelio sporting its new colours.
Actually not new colours as according to the Architect Massimiliano Lanciani who oversaw the work, the colours that will be revealed shortly are in fact very representative of the original colours and designs that were already in place but which had faded or darkened with age. He has put them back in their original splendour. Barga Vecchia waits for the final wraps to come off.
