On Via del Mezza in Barga Vecchia in front of the Casa Cordati there is a doorway which many people pass without looking into. Maybe its time to stop and have a peek inside as Leslie Milllar has this month opened up her studio to the public. It has to be said that not many people can fit inside at the same time as it a little on the cramped side – not because of the its size but more to do with the fact that it is crammed full of paintings and works of art.
More are still in progress on the easel, others are finished and on the walls.
Leslie has also been involved in some of the restoration work in one of Barga’s more famous palazzo’s – The Palazzo Salvi.
This palazzo just below the Duomo has been restored to its former glory by the American family of Bill & Joyce Furman. (article here)
The studio Leslie Sherburne Millar can be found on Via di Mezzo 28 Barga Vecchia and Leslie can be contacted at millarleslie@yahoo.it
Work on a different theme (Mongolfier balloons) that Leslie exhibited in Barga last year can be seen here
