Geoff Collins-White and his boys from Jack’s Pack took to the stage this evening in Piazza Angelio and laid some serious rock on the audience. A two hour set featuring some of their favourite sounds and all with the usual well solid rhythm backbone supplied by JJ Carde on the drums and Gino Tonico on the bass.
Somebody must have fired a rocket up some body part of Jack Nannini this evening as he really let rip his guitar … his usual well laid back, almost ambient style of playing being replaced by a (dare we say it ? …aggressive) sharp and powerful lead guitar sound taking the front of stage, holding it against all comers and leaving Simone Venturi to do the fill in chords on the keyboards. Nice concert – the boys are evolving.

Ditto. At times last night, Jack made you think of Hendrix, lost in unimaginable riffs and carrying everyone along for the ride (with J.J. at shotgun). They were that good.
kind words: thank-you!
sometimes things just come together: the band kicks in, the warmth of the public envelops the stage, the very special back-drop of piazza angelio works its magic…
when that happens it beholds one to rise to the occasion!
keep the guitar firmly in front of you
Doggy loves to get a rise out of his readers
hmmm, there is always somebody ready with a bucket of cold water
especially in Piazza Angelio!
Grazie della articolo db e grazie a tutti i presenti, compresi i preziosi musicisti con cui ho il piacere di suonare.
“sometimes things just come together” so to speak.
Mi sono divertito parecchio anch’io, in piazza Angelio ci si suona sempre molto bene, sembra nata per farci concerti.
