In many other countries, Christmas has become the most important and celebrated annual holiday but here in Italy that honour goes to the Easter break.
It is the time of year where traditionally families sit down around the table for an enormous meal sometimes lasting well into the afternoon and then it is time for a brisk walk to work off the effects, to get some fresh air, to engage in some serious people watching and of course, just to be seen.
For today, only the best is good enough. In the piazza’s in Barga Vecchia music was also the order of the day with Giuliano Nardi out and about with his fisarmonic and not the usual run of the mill accordion either but his special white holiday fisarmonica.
