The three-day festa now taking place in Barga to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Gruppo Alpini, continued this afternoon with more music from the Coro Alpini. This time they were playing at the Villa Riposo ” Giovanni Pascoli”
The celebrations started in Barga yesterday to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Gruppo Alpini here in the city. (articles here and here ) More than 600 children from the materne, elementari and media schools joined in the procession that snaked through the town from the parco degli Alpini up to a Fosso.
Wreaths were laid, flags were raised, speeches were made and songs were sung and for the next three days it will be the Alpini while the centre of attention here in Barga.
