The Salamanders came together in 2009, inspired by the guitarist and singer Noah Tortelli with his dream of forming a band able to perform his original compositions, heavily influenced by Ska and Reggae.
The project begins to take shape with the arrival of Marco Lugliani on solo guitar and Giuseppe Venturi on bass.
The initial shortcomings due to the lack of a stable drummer were overcome once Diego Bacci joined the line-up, adding new vigour to their sound.
The musical influences of each component are varied and range from Ska and Reggae, to Funk, Blues and Rock, touching on Metal end even Electronic music.
It is this unusual mix, established by each as a result of earlier experiences in other formations, that helps the band synthesise an alternative and original sound. The combination of musical personalities is inspirational and the songs are composed with ease and enthusiasm.
