A busy day up at the Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort and Spa and the Ciocco Estate and Park as a large group of travel writers were enjoying the peace and quiet to be found up on the side of the mountains above Barga.
They came from the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Russia to see for themselves just what changes have been made to the hotel over the past two years since Marriot took over the running of the resort.
As you can hear in the conversation (in Italiano) with Georges Midleje, the General Manager of Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort and Spa, the journalists who write for such magazines and publications as Aeroflot in Russia, MSN travel in the UK, Beruebilder in Germany and Meet and Travel in France, were surprised by what they found and did not expect this level of luxury combined with unspoilt landscapes …. where else would you like to be in September but in a chestnut wood on a sunny day with the sound of horses slowly moving through the trees followed by a leisurely lunch with the gentle music of three of the Aristodemo’s playing in the background?
