As can be seen from the images above somebody has taken a large blue chalk and walked it right through half of Barga Vecchia this week leaving marks, writing and scribbles behind them.
It has to be said that this is a low form of vandalism as the chalk will eventually just disappear with the coming rainy season but what it does do is show graffiti walls – tagged walls and it inevitably invites other people to join in with their own tagging and there is a good chance that it will not be with easily removable chalk but instead with the ubiquitous permanent marker pens.
Apart from anything else it just makes half of the walls in Barga Vecchia look far scruffier than they should.
Maybe somebody somewhere should organise a cleaning crew just to go through and wipe these chalk marks off before any more arrive ?
Any takers ?
