A new gallery opened in Barga this month dedicated entirely to the work of the painter Cesare Puccinelli (1935-1989).
Born in Pontedera in 1935, Cesare Puccinelli moved to Barga in 1969 after marrying Maria Maiolani.
He worked here in the city until his death in 1989 producing hundreds of paintings in those years.
The gallery is now showing a selection of his work from the early years and is intending to change their selection on a regular basis.
The last time there was an exhibition of the paintings of Cesare Puccinelli was back on 2014 at the Fondazione Ricci Onlus.
