As the regulations and rules are gradually relaxed and people are once again allowed to move around and go back to what could be termed “normal life” – one of the startling effects of the lockdown has come to an end – the eerie silence.
Voices can be heard in the streets, cars passing in the road and the sound of agricultural machinery working in the fields – mainly grass cutters.
But it’s not just in the fields that the grass has been able to grow untouched and unkempt for so long.

Luckily, volunteers started work this afternoon trimming down and clearing up making sure that Barga Vecchia is once again ready for visitors
