From Thursday 2nd July, a new project “Mangiaggiro Take Away Barga” opened up in the historic center of Barga Vecchia.
The covid-19 pandemic with the new measures, restrictions and social distancing has had a dramatic effect on the eating habits of people living and visiting the city.
As there is a reluctance to people eating in a closed restaurant with enforce social distancing, a new phenomenon has gradually started to arrive in this area – that of takeaway.
Up until now it has generally been restricted to just pizza but things are now changing and restaurants are now offering a takeaway service.
The municipal administration of Barga, has prepared a project to encourage local restaurants and their clients with this new takeaway service.
Three piazzas in Barga Vecchia, the Orto della Misericordia in Piazza San Felice, the Terrace above the Museum Stanze della Memoria and the “Belvedere” Gardens (conservatory of Santa Elisabetta), have been set up with tables, chairs to accommodate those who want to have takeaway meals outside and enjoy the views on offer in the city.
“We focus heavily on people’s collaboration and sense of responsibility. In each square the regulations to be followed will be clearly visible, everyone will have to sanitise their table and put the waste in the appropriate containers, with maximum respect for the environment. But it seems like a good idea to meet the new trend of outdoor dining, which arose from the health emergency and at the same time, to support our activities “.- Maresa Andreotti – responsible for the project.
The Mayor and Councilor Andreotti on behalf of the Municipal Administration would like to thank all those who collaborated in setting up and embellishing the squares: Arciconfraternita di Misericordia, ProLoco di Filecchio and the Women of Barga and all the restaurants who have willingly supported the idea.
Da giovedì 2 luglio partirà a Barga il progetto “Mangiaggiro Take Away Barga” nel centro storico. Ispiratrice del tutto la pandemia covid-19 e la nuove misure e le nuove abitudini, anche, per consumare i pasti, non più dentro ma fuori da locali, sia a casa che all’aperto, utilizzando il servizio da asporto che molti bar e ristoranti stanno già da tempo proponendo.
L’Amministrazione comunale di Barga proprio per favorire il lavoro dei tanti locali barghigiani, dentro e fuori l’antico Castello, ha predisposto un progetto per ospitare tutti i consumatori di take away.
Tre piazze di Barga Vecchia, l’ Orto della Misericordia di Piazza San Felice, la Terrazza Museo Stanze della Memoria ed i Giardini “Belvedere” (conservatorio di Santa Elisabetta), saranno allestite con tavoli, sedie e materiale per la sanificazione, per ospitare coloro che vorranno consumare i pasti da asporto.
“puntiamo molto sulla collaborazione e sul senso di responsabilità della gente. In ogni piazza sarà ben visibile il Regolamento a cui attenersi, ognuno dovrà sanificare il proprio tavolo e differenziare i rifiuti negli appositi contenitori, con massimo rispetto dell’ambiente. Ma ci pare una bella idea per venire incontro alla nuova tendenza del mangiare all’aperto, scaturita dall’emergenza sanitaria e al tempo stesso, per dare supporto alle nostre attività”.- Maresa Andreotti , che si è occupata della realizzazione del progetto.
Il Sindaco e la consigliera Andreotti a nome dell’l’Amministrazione Comunale ci tengono a ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno collaborato ad allestire ed abbellire le piazze: Arciconfraternita di Misericordia, ProLoco di Filecchio e le Donne di Barga e tutti gli esercenti che hanno volentieri sposato l’ idea.
