First week in February and even though there is snow upon the mountains around Barga, today has been an extremely mild day for the time of year.
So mild in fact that some of the spring flowers have actually started to appear in Parco Buozzi just outside Barga Vecchia – including believe it or not, some wild strawberry plants which have bravely started to flower.
Fingers crossed as the weather at this time of year can change overnight for the worst.
