On a windy evening that threatened a storm, a storm that fortunately never occurred, the “Memoria di Barga” was staged on Saturday evening in Piazza San Felice, an evening of music and singing and memories of the old Barga, through articles by Barghigiani newspapers and books.
The theme of this event, born many years ago on an idea by Graziella Cosimini who still collaborates with the organisers of this evening and which once again was remembered by the participants with the reading of her article – “Characters of the old Barga – Personaggi della vecchia Barga” published in the Giornale di Barga .
The event was organized by the Arciconfraternita di Misericordia di Barga with the patronage of the Comune and Propositura of Barga.

A short but moving video collected over the years by barganews at the Aristo’s bar in the Piazza del Comune with the figure of Aristodemo Casciani in the foreground, but also of many other characters from Barga Vecchia who are no longer with us was projected and commented on by all.
