Yesterday we published an article with the title of “February afternoon – sunshine and smoke” (article and images here) – it did fairly well sum up the afternoon sitting in the sun at the Duomo in Barga Vecchia.
Today could not be described as sunny or warm as the temperature had dropped by a good 10 degrees but once again we publish an article which attempts to describe in images Barga In February.
Yesterday to wrote about three fires in the distance as people working in the fields and woods started to clear land ready for the spring.
Today there was more of that but with a small difference.
One of those fires managed to get a bit larger and move a tad faster than expected but alls well that ends well as the fire at Buvicchia which filled the upper part of the valley in smoke was soon brought back under control.

Ieri abbiamo pubblicato un articolo dal titolo “Pomeriggio di febbraio – sole e fumo” (articolo e immagini qui) – ha descritto abbastanza bene il pomeriggio trascorso al sole presso il Duomo a Barga Vecchia.
Oggi non si può descrivere come soleggiato o caldo poiché la temperatura era scesa di ben 10 gradi, ma una volta ancora pubblichiamo un articolo che cerca di descrivere con immagini Barga a febbraio.
Ieri abbiamo scritto di tre incendi in lontananza mentre le persone che lavoravano nei campi e nei boschi hanno iniziato a pulire il terreno in vista della primavera.
Oggi c’è stato di più di questo, ma con una piccola differenza.
Uno di questi incendi è riuscito a diventare un po’ più grande e a muoversi un po’ più velocemente del previsto, ma tutto è bene quel che finisce bene poiché l’incendio a Buvicchia che ha riempito la parte superiore della valle di fumo è stato presto riportato sotto controllo.
