On Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th at 6pm and 7pm, the MURF Multimedia Museum of Roches and Fortifications of the Valle del Serchio in Barga opened its doors for a double appointment to tell the legends of popular romantic tradition and love poems from the area.
This was an opportunity to visit the museum and learn, among other things, the history of the giunchiglie on Mount Croce and that of the stone giant of Garfagnana.
Among the selected pieces were also some poems by Mario Lena, a poet, teacher and the ex mayor of Bagni di Lucca who recently passed away. For the occasion, couples received a complimentary admission ticket.
The Multimedia Museum, named after Laura Risaliti, told the roots and identity of a people and deepened the knowledge of the Valle del Serchio, a territory with a millennia-old history.
Through interactive devices and an evocative approach, the visitor could find information, images and videos that illustrated events, resources and traditions of the Valley.

In occasione di San Valentino, martedì 14 febbraio alle 18 e 19, il MURF Museo Multimediale Rocche e Fortificazioni Valle del Serchio di Barga ha aperto le sue porte per un doppio appuntamento per raccontare le leggende della tradizione romantica popolare e le poesie d’amore della zona.
Questa era un’occasione per visitare il museo e imparare, tra le altre cose, la storia delle giunchiglie sul Monte Croce e quella del gigante di pietra della Garfagnana.
Tra i pezzi selezionati c’erano anche alcune poesie di Mario Lena, poeta, insegnante e uomo di cultura recentemente scomparso. Per l’occasione, le coppie hanno ricevuto un biglietto d’ingresso omaggio.
Il Museo Multimediale, intitolato a Laura Risaliti, ha raccontato le radici e l’identità di un popolo e approfondito la conoscenza della Valle del Serchio, un territorio con una storia millenaria.
Attraverso dispositivi interattivi e un approccio evocativo, il visitatore poteva trovare informazioni, immagini e video che illustravano eventi, risorse e tradizioni della Valle.
