Le Prade up on the mountain in the Comune of Fosciandora was the cool location for a concert by the Aristodemos to celebrate the Festa dei Pastori.
Just like last year, (article here) the weather managed to play an important part in the days proceedings as although further down the valley temperatures were slightly higher – up on the mountain it was much much cooler – 12 degrees and with the added problem of high winds and occasional rain On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August in Le Prade Garfagnine, in the Comune of Fosciandora (LU), the Feast of the Shepherds will be held.
For two days in this part of the Garfagnana you can stay in contact with nature and eat local specialties. The program of the Feast of the Shepherds includes some moments of sharing and good food.
The two days will begin on Saturday at 7:30 pm with an aperitif under the chestnuts accompanied by the music of the Aristodemos. Sunday after the 9:00 am gathering, mass will be held at 11:00, followed at 12:30 by a lunch based on typical products.
The Feast of the Shepherds is organised by the ASD of Fosciandora in collaboration with the Comune Le Prade Garfagnine is located about half an hour by car from the hamlet of La Villa, on the border with the province of Modena and at about 1000 meters above sea level.
The Aristodemo’s are: Andrea Gonnella (Vocals), Keane (percussioni / percussion), Alessandro Rizzardi (Mandolino / Mandolin and Sax), Fabio Guazzelli (chitarra / guitar),, Francesco Massagli (fisarmonica) plus special guest – Nino Pellegrini on double–bass.
The band came together in the winter of 2009 when local musicians Alessandro Rizzardi (mandolino), Keane (Percussioni), Fabio Guazelli (chitarra), Leo Gnesi (contro bass), and Andrea Gonnella (cantante) found each other in Aristo’s enoteca, with instruments in hand, and exciting ideas in mind and of course, passion in heart.
Focusing mainly on forgotten swing Italiano from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, The Aristodemos welcome you to jump back in time and into their salotto. You may also hear something contemporary swung into Aristo gear.

Le Prade, in cima alla montagna nel Comune di Fosciandora, è stata la suggestiva e fresca location per un concerto degli Aristodemos in occasione della Festa dei Pastori. Proprio come lo scorso anno (articolo qui), il meteo ha avuto un ruolo importante durante la giornata: se infatti a valle le temperature erano leggermente più alte, sulla montagna il clima era molto, molto più fresco – 12 gradi – con l’aggiunta di vento forte e pioggia a tratti.
Sabato 2 e domenica 3 agosto, a Le Prade Garfagnine, nel Comune di Fosciandora (LU), si è svolta la tradizionale Festa dei Pastori.
Per due giorni, in questa parte della Garfagnana, è stato possibile restare a contatto con la natura e gustare specialità locali. Il programma della Festa dei Pastori ha incluso momenti di condivisione e buona cucina.
Le due giornate sono iniziate sabato alle 19:30 con un aperitivo sotto i castagni, accompagnato dalla musica degli Aristodemos.
Domenica, dopo il ritrovo alle ore 9:00, si è celebrata la messa alle 11:00, seguita alle 12:30 dal pranzo a base di prodotti tipici.
La Festa dei Pastori è organizzata dall’ASD di Fosciandora in collaborazione con il Comune. Le Prade Garfagnine si trovano a circa mezz’ora d’auto dalla frazione di La Villa, al confine con la provincia di Modena, a circa 1000 metri sul livello del mare.
Gli Aristodemos sono: Andrea Gonnella (voce), Keane (percussioni), Alessandro Rizzardi (mandolino e sax), Fabio Guazzelli (chitarra), Francesco Massagli (fisarmonica) con ospite speciale Nino Pellegrini al contrabbasso.
La band è nata nell’inverno del 2009, quando i musicisti locali Alessandro Rizzardi (mandolino), Keane (percussioni), Fabio Guazzelli (chitarra), Leo Gnesi (contrabbasso) e Andrea Gonnella (voce) si sono ritrovati con gli strumenti in mano e idee entusiaste nell’enoteca di Aristo, uniti dalla passione comune per la musica. Concentrandosi soprattutto sullo swing italiano dimenticato degli anni ’30, ’40 e ’50, gli Aristodemos vi invitano a fare un salto indietro nel tempo, nel loro salotto musicale.
Non mancano anche brani contemporanei riarrangiati in stile Aristo.
