The continuing Scottish weekend on Barga spilled out across the city this afternoon with Scottish music and dance, pop-up painting and photography shows, and a bustling Barga Scottish Market. Stalls served the flavour of Scotland beers, whisky, cider, Irn-Bru and Cadbury— alongside oatmeal, tweed and tartan, souvenirs and gadgets, handmade and vintage pieces, and antique porcelain with teapots and cups.
There was a West Highland White Terrier showcase, nods to Harry Potter and Outlander, displays of ancient weapons and Celtic artefacts, bespoke travel advice, golf demos, ceilidh dancing and tastings at the stands. Local venues joined in with classic Scottish fare: salmon, fish and chips, the soup of the day, macaroni cheese, and the full Scottish breakfast. And to add to the occasion – even a Scottish wedding taking place at the Duomo.

Il fine settimana scozzese a Barga è proseguito questo pomeriggio, riversandosi per la città con musica e danze scozzesi, mostre pop-up di pittura e fotografia e un vivacissimo Barga Scottish Market. Agli stand si assaporava il gusto della Scozia: birre, whisky, sidro, Irn-Bru e Cadbury, accanto a fiocchi d’avena, tweed e tartan, souvenir e gadget, pezzi artigianali e vintage, porcellane d’epoca con teiere e tazze.
Non sono mancati un’esposizione di West Highland White Terrier, omaggi a Harry Potter e Outlander, mostre di antiche armi e manufatti celtici, consulenze di viaggio su misura, dimostrazioni di golf, balli ceilidh e degustazioni presso gli stand.
Anche i locali hanno partecipato con i piatti tipici scozzesi: salmone, fish and chips, zuppa del giorno, maccheroni al formaggio e la tradizionale colazione scozzese completa. A impreziosire l’occasione, persino un matrimonio scozzese celebrato in Duomo.
