For years they had playfully called themselves the “Musicians of Molazzana,” but on stage they appeared under their true name — Ensemble 595. Their long-held wish to perform in Barga finally came true when, with the help of the Scuola di Musica and the support of the Comune, they brought their chamber music to the Teatro dei Differenti.
On Thursday, 16 October, the historic theatre filled with the sounds of Rossini, Händel, Weber, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn and others — a journey through centuries of European music performed with warmth and precision.
The ensemble, formed by six accomplished musicians — Eurydice Devergranne (violin, viola, voice), Katharina Jakob (violin, viola), Stefanie Frascoli (violin), Lorenz Raths (horn), Johannes Schlegel (cello), and Rebecca Ineichen (piano, cello, voice) — is devoted to the intimacy of chamber music, performing in formations that range from duos to octets.
Their passion has already taken them to renowned venues such as the Richard Wagner Museum in Lucerne and the Church of Mistail, as well as to the smaller churches of Cascio, Molazzana, San Pietro in Campo and Vitoio Camporgiano — and now, at last, to the city of Barga.

Per anni si erano scherzosamente chiamati i “musicisti di Molazzana”, ma sul palcoscenico si sono presentati con il loro vero nome — Ensemble 595. Il loro desiderio di esibirsi a Barga si è finalmente realizzato quando, grazie al sostegno della Scuola di Musica e alla collaborazione del Comune, hanno portato la loro musica da camera al Teatro dei Differenti.
Giovedì 16 ottobre, lo storico teatro si è riempito delle note di Rossini, Händel, Weber, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn e altri ancora — un viaggio attraverso secoli di musica europea, eseguito con calore e precisione.
L’ensemble, formato da sei musicisti di grande talento — Eurydice Devergranne (violino, viola, voce), Katharina Jakob (violino, viola), Stefanie Frascoli (violino), Lorenz Raths (corno), Johannes Schlegel (violoncello) e Rebecca Ineichen (pianoforte, violoncello, voce) — è devoto all’intimità della musica da camera, che interpreta in formazioni che spaziano dal duo all’ottetto.
La loro passione li ha già portati in sedi prestigiose come il Museo Richard Wagner di Lucerna e la chiesa di Mistail, oltre che nelle chiese di Cascio, Molazzana, San Pietro in Campo e Vitoio Camporgiano — e ora, finalmente, nella città di Barga.
