Double 50th Birthday Celebration at Da Aristo
The musicians were out in force last night in Barga Vecchia, as Da Aristo hosted a lively double 50th birthday celebration for Francesca and Cinzia. The two birthday guests made a memorable entrance, arriving in a vintage white Fiat 500 with red leather seats, decorated with flowers and a large pink sign marking the occasion. Outside the bar, long tables were laid with red-and-white checked cloths, balloons, and hand-drawn signs, setting the scene for a night of festivities. As the evening unfolded, guitars, clarinet, accordion, and even the deep resonant tones of a handpan filled the piazza, drawing passers-by to the sound of spontaneous music.
Voices rose in song, glasses clinked, and the atmosphere quickly turned into one of celebration. The unusually low temperatures meant that coats and jackets stayed on throughout the night, and in an unseasonal twist, steaming glasses of hot punch were served to keep spirits lifted.
Adding to the serendipity, a visitor to Barga who followed the music into the piazza was also celebrating her 50th birthday. She was swiftly welcomed into the celebrations, and the party continued with more songs, more toasts, and more of the unmistakable atmosphere that only Barga can provide.

Doppio 50° Compleanno da Aristo
I musicisti erano presenti in gran numero ieri sera a Barga Vecchia, dove Da Aristo ha ospitato una vivace festa di compleanno per i 50 anni di Francesca e Cinzia. Le due festeggiate hanno fatto un ingresso memorabile, arrivando a bordo di una Fiat 500 bianca d’epoca con interni in pelle rossa, decorata con fiori e un grande cartello rosa per l’occasione.
Davanti al locale, lunghe tavolate coperte da tovaglie a quadretti bianchi e rossi, palloncini e cartelli disegnati a mano hanno creato l’atmosfera perfetta per una serata di festa. Con il passare delle ore, chitarre, clarinetto, fisarmonica e persino le profonde sonorità di un handpan hanno riempito la piazza, attirando i passanti al suono di una musica spontanea. Le voci si sono unite in canto, i bicchieri hanno brindato e l’atmosfera è diventata rapidamente una vera celebrazione. Le temperature insolitamente basse hanno costretto tutti a tenere addosso giacche e cappotti per tutta la serata e, in una nota fuori stagione, sono stati serviti bicchieri fumanti di punch caldo per mantenere alto il morale.
Ad aggiungere un tocco di casualità, una visitatrice che aveva seguito la musica fino in piazza festeggiava anch’essa il suo 50° compleanno. È stata subito accolta nei festeggiamenti e la serata è proseguita con altre canzoni, brindisi e quell’atmosfera inconfondibile che solo Barga sa offrire.
