Back in February of this year we published an article (here) where we printed the following text:
“Well, it’s been talked about for some time in the piazza but no real solid information has been coming out but now apparently it is true. A new business will shortly be opening in Barga Vecchia, and if all goes to plan, it will be a bar and food shop.
The location used to be a corner shop which closed down and then transformed over the years into an antiques shop, upholstery shop, gallery and studio before remaining empty for a number of years.Today, a sign in the window of the empty gallery in the Volta dei Menchi is now advertising for experienced bilingual bar staff.”
Just three months later and after a great deal of work, this afternoon in Barga Vecchia, finally the doors were opened to reveal the new caffetteria La Volta.

A febbraio di quest’anno abbiamo pubblicato un articolo (qui) in cui abbiamo riportato il seguente testo:
“Bene, si è parlato a lungo nelle piazze, ma nessuna informazione concreta è trapelata fino ad ora, ma ora sembra che sia vero. Presto aprirà un nuovo locale a Barga Vecchia e, se tutto va come previsto, sarà un bar e negozio di alimentari.
La location era un negozio di angolo che ha chiuso e nel corso degli anni si è trasformato in un negozio di antiquariato, tappezzeria, galleria e studio, prima di rimanere vuoto per diversi anni. Oggi, un cartello nella vetrina della galleria vuota in Via Volta dei Menchi sta cercando personale di bar bilingue con esperienza.”
Solo tre mesi dopo e dopo molto lavoro, questo pomeriggio a Barga Vecchia finalmente sono state aperte le porte per rivelare la nuova caffetteria La Volta.
