Moriconi Italy, a 875 sq ft store located on the ground floor of the Buchanan Mall, added to the centre during its £150 million redevelopment in 2011 has just opened its doors for business in St Enoch shopping centre in Glasgow and is Scotland’s first ever Italian jewellery store.

A number of ranges Moriconi offers are exclusive to Scotland, including leading Italian jewellery brand Yukiko, known for its contemporary interpretations of classic designs featuring diamonds and other precious stones and because this is an Italian jewellery store, all our gold is 18 carat.

It’s just just a piece of Tuscany which the new venture is offering though, it is in fact a piece of Barga as the name above the door belongs to none other than William Moriconi from Barga, the new managing director of the store.
Classical musician William has featured many times over the years on this site.
He studied oboe in Firenze and Milano as well as in Lugano, Svizzera before moving on to the The Accademia del Teatro Alla Scala di Milano Orchestra and then the Sinfonica di Roma.
He then created the Summer Music Festival & Masterclass here in Barga (article here) before moving on to pastures new in Scotland.
William Moriconi, Moriconi’s managing director, said:
“Not only is St. Enoch Centre an attractive shopping destination in its own right, it is also well-placed in the heart of Glasgow.
