Regular readers of this site will already be well aware that this winter has been a strange one with heavy snow fall and what feels like constant rain for the past seven months.
Of course, the rain has not been a constant feature but it does feel like that some days.
Many people are already out of or running low on their wood supplies to heat their houses as the winter has just dragged on and on.
This morning the 26th May 2013, yet another surprise greeted people when they opened their shutters or pulled back their curtains – snow fall on the mountains all around Barga.
In a few days it will be June and there is snow on the hills ?
Utterly incredible.
Some of the older residents of of the city when asked cannot remember a winter like this in the last 80 years.
