This weekend the Gelateria in Barga Vecchia celebrated their first year in business with free ice cream for all their local customers.
As you can hear in the short interview below with Matteo Lunardi, it has been an “interesting year” for the new owners who did not expect the huge amount of customers during the summer nor the more or less complete lack of clients during the winter months but overall they are very positive in their view for the future and their place in Barga daily life.
For the coming year they are already planning events in the piazza and of course, the upcoming Barga Jazz Festival will be an integral part of those events.
The long winter appears to finally be over and bright blue sky and sunshine were the order of the day …. what better that freshly made ice cream to complete the perfect day?
