oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, here we are once again talking about the weather but it HAS played an important part in this year’s Live in Barga.
It has rained every single afternoon over the past 10 days, only to clear at the last moment and allow the festa to take place.
A nail biting experience for the organisers who have to put out all their electrical equipment only to cover everything up if the rain does fall.
This evening it was still spitting with rain as 7 pm rolled round and no sound checks had been made – would people play or not ?
In the end, most piazzas did and the wait was well worth it as a strong list of musicians to suit all tastes were on offer this evening.
