The Aristodemo Casciani Bottle Archive

These bottles were photographed as a working record of what once sat in the shelves at Da Aristo. Some labels are intact, others half-lost to time; together they form a portrait of everyday drinking culture in and around Barga — vermouths and amaros, anise liqueurs, grappas, and the occasional imported curiosity that arrived and stayed. A significant group comes from a single Lucchese producer. The Lost World of A. Nannini of Lucca traces that story through glass, paper, wax seals and tax bands.

About this archive

These bottles were photographed as a working record of what once sat behind the counter at Da Aristo.
