The regulars at the Barga Jazz Club were willing participants in an exciting musical experiment and the birth of a new group this evening as the members of 3motion shared their new project with Barga. All are experienced musicians - the drummer Walter Paoli an unknown figure here in the Barga Jazz Club but Stefano Onorati on keyboards and Roberto Cecchetto on guitar long-time members of the Barga Jazz Orchestra and well-known on the musical landscape but this evening they were all in uncharted area as they took the audience (and themselves) on a musical voyage of discovery. Loredana was billed to turn up at the Barga Jazz Club with her trio but instead on the stage this evening were a 5 piece band, so as of yet we have no details as to just who the musicians actually were BUT rest assured we will find out their names and update this article. Along with Loredana were - keyboards, sax, a fretless bass player who captivated the audience and a very young drummer with an incredible mature snapping wrist action. Anybody out there got any names to fit to these superb musicians ?

They have now played so many times at the Barga Jazz Club that they could almost be called the "house band" - every time they get up on the stage they get the house moving - The Ratband from Lucca did their stuff this evening with their rock solid rhythm section of Carlo Parenti on drums and the immovable and impeccable bass playing of Claudio Polizzi laying out the groove for the talents of Vincenzo Bramanti on guitar and Beppe Zito on keyboards who played out their flashing musical duel over the top. Jazz Club - the place to be seen in
Pleasing to see the Barga Jazz Club full of members this evening enjoying the quality live jazz on offer. Barga has been like a ghost town the past few weeks as the festivities over Christmas/new year/befana took a toll on many people's wallets, stomachs and energy levels leaving the streets and bars almost empty as stay-at-home became the order of the day. Jazz Jam Session at barga jazz club
Jazz Jam Session at barga jazz club, Friday evening brought some new musicians working together in front of the knowledgeable jazz club audience. The presence of Nicolao Valiensi on trombone added a more poetic tone to the evening as he is of course almost incapable of playing straight traditional "down the line" jazz - even the well worn standard jazz numbers take on a different aspect when Nicolao warms up his trombone. An almost tropical mood at Barga Jazz Club
