The Annual Solidarity Week organised by the GVS and other voluntary organisations here in Barga and area was brought to a conclusion this week with a march through the streets to the sound of the drum. The Sbandieratori of Gallicano (the internationally know medieval flag throwers) brought out their youth section to lead the march.
This year the Solidarity Week has been a busy one for all concerned. A full calendar of events including a conference on voluntary work and diversity, screenings of films made by the Multimedia Laboratorio of the GVS, a very successful theatre forum with the theatre group Papalagi and yesterday, games organised in Barga Giardino with the local schools
