Visitors to Barga this week will have noticed a figure painting “en plein air” in some of the more secluded alleyways and piazzas of Barga Vecchia. The person with the large straw hat shielding his eyes as he works is the painter from Rome, Paolo Veneziani.
It is the not the first time that he has been working and exhibiting his canvases in Barga. He has a close relationship with the Marzocco Gallery who will be once again showing his work this summer as in previous years.
Paolo has been exhibiting his work since 1962 in galleries around Italy and since the early 70’s his work has also travelled to other parts of the globe. Just have a look at the list at the bottom of this article .. European art centres like Frankfurt, Bruxelles, Vienna, Koln and further afield to places like Montreal, San Francisco and New York
