A visit today to Barga by Dott. Salvatore President of the Gim-Kme (ex Smi) – the foundry at Fornaci di Barga.
He was here as part of the continuing process of gathering documents and information for the new Luigi Orlando Foundation which is being built at Fornaci.
He was a guest of Leonardo Mordini at the Palazzo Mordini where he was shown the small bronze statue of his father Luigi Orlando which was pobably the model used for the large bronze statue to be found in Livorno in Piazza Mazzini commemorating the founder of the Livorno Arsenal.
