Videorelax 2000 – new internet cafe

The rapidly changing face of commerce in Barga can probably most easily be seen by the evolutions that have been taking place in the Videorelax2000 shop of Simone Andreuccetti and Bruno Campani. Last year they made a huge quantum leap in the service that they provided for Barga and the surrounding area when they installed an automatic machine in their shop at which allows people to easily rent out and return a DVD from their collection of over 3000 titles 24 hours a day. We wrote then that other changes were on the horizon for Bruno and Simone in the near future as a new internet cafe was being planned in the large space left inside the shop where the shelves full of the old VHS videos used to be.

This week those changes finally took place and the internet cafe is now working and fully operational with three computers and more planned shortly.

The automatic DVD machine has been upgraded and a new system installed so that people can use it not just to choose their DVD’s but also as a quick method for paying bills, buying plane tickets, booking concerts, charging telephone cards etc.

Added to this is a new direction for the team as the continuing collaboration with Federica Piacentini (video here) is gradually moving Videorelax2000 into the graphics field with publicity shots, photography, video editing and a new gallery space for exhibitions of art and photography.
