Recession ? what recession. Yet another new winebar/osteria opened up their doors this afternoon in Barga Vecchia. The new place to eat in Barga is called Mordini or Mordimi (depending on how you read the final n/m) and is based in Piazza dell’Annuziata as part of the Mordini Palazzo. Changing the “n” to an “m” changes the name from being a simple surname of the owner of the building into “mordi me” – bite me. Neat eh ? SO who is running the place ? … Roberta and Lorenzo is the answer. Roberta is a new name on the restaurant front but Lorenzo – you mean Lorenzo from La Mocchia ?
Yes, that’s precisely who we mean – Lorenzo from La Mocchia is now branching out and moving into the restaurant business in Barga Vecchia.
