Many of the small roads in the area are still covered in layers of ice making travelling very difficult. Many of the events for the Christmas calendar have been cancelled; a concert at the Teatro dei Differenti last night was one such cancellation, the Presepe Vivente on the 23rd another . The schools in Barga are shut and will remain shut tomorrow as well but finally after four days of Artic conditions, the temperature has risen above freezing point and what looks to be the start of a thaw could well be on the way.
So how about a quick look back on just how stunningly beautiful some of the weather conditions were in Barga over the last four days and what better way to do it than in the company of a seasonal guest.
