In 2007 the Barga Vespa Club was created by a group of Vespa enthusiasts in this area. Within weeks they had membership figures running into the hundreds. They have been organising events for their members ever since. Runs, outings, special events, dinners and meetings. Today it was the turn of the 3rd Inter-regional vespa rally “Città di Barga” which was held in and around Barga.
They came from all over the North of Italy -- more than 200 hundreds of them -- vespas of all sizes, colours and ages.

Siamo un gruppo di amici di Barga, appassionati del mitico scooter della Piaggio, la Vespa, che ancor oggi riesce a trasmettere sincere emozioni oltre ad aver motorizzato fin dagli anni 50 intere generazioni di italiani e non.
Il 3 novembre 2006, forti di questi sentimenti e legati da un entusiasmo e da una leale passione verso questo mezzo, abbiamo costituito in Barga il “VESPACLUBARGA” che si propone di riunire nostalgici, ammiratori, appassionati o semplici possessori di questo intramontabile scooter.
Stiamo lavorando alla stagione 2010, nell´intento di organizzare gite, raduni e incontri conviviali con la speranza di poter diventare punto di riferimento di molti vespisti.
Rendiamo noto nell´occasione che il consiglio direttivo è così composto: presidente, Paolo Marchetti, vice presidente, Pacioni Loreno, segretario Marco Gonnella, cassiere Italo Cecchini, revisore dei conti Claudio Bonuccelli, consiglieri Marco Suffredini, Carretta Giovanni.Un particolare ringraziamento a Tulio Bonuccelli che ha realizzato per noi questo bellissimo LOGO
