Posters through out the city were today proclaiming the event this evening of the 1st Festival of Canzone Italiana D’epoca but maybe readers of barganews will remember that title ” the First Festival for Italian songs 1920 -1950″ being used in an article which was held in Barga on the 18th August back in 2006.During that concert the tenor – Gianni Cristalli Paniatowsky and soprano Roberta Popolani guided a gathering at Palazzo Baulduini through “canzone italiana d’epoca” from the early 20’s right through to late 50’s.
Gianni Cristalli Paniatowsky was back once again in 2008 (article here) – without Roberta Popolani but instead with the added participation of the International Trio Saint-Saens directed by Xenia Arken and all under the new banner name of the 1st Festival della Canzone Italiana dall Epoca – this time he was performing his magic out in the open in the Piazza Salvi
This evening and again tomorrow evening he was/will be performing in the Cinema Roma in Barga Giardino this time under the title of the 1st Festival of Canzone Italiana D’epoca 1910 – 1960 cinquanta anni di successi.

Presenterà la serata il tenore Gianni Cristalli Paniatowsky, che accompagnerà anche i Solisti Virtuosi diretti dal maestro Xenja Arken.
