Not often that we publish a headline like the above but some time during Wednesday evening, vandals attacked the public toilets in Via Hayange setting fire to paper inside the building. Luckily two passing pedestrians saw the smoke coming out of the windows of the toilets and doused the flames before serious damage to the building could take place.
Hopefully it is an isolated incident in the city where vandalism is almost unknown but never the less a disturbing event.
This morning the toilet was still closed to the public with the door firmly chained shut until the damage inside can be repaired.
