The premier Barga blues voice that is Geoff Collins White was back once more in the Barga Jazz Club this evening but this time with a whole new energy and sound as the continuing musical journey that Geoff has been travelling on over the past few years took him and the audience to a new region, a new place to enjoy some of his sparkling new numbers plus, of course, a few of the oldies but goodies from the Jack’s Pack days.
In fact from the early days of Jacks Pack through to the Beagles and now into the new band, called The Grizzly by the way, there has been just one musician standing next to Geoff on various stages and in various clubs and venues – the bass player Gino Tonico aka Gino Marchi. He was there this evening with some new musicians both bringing some fire and new blood to the group – the two brothers, Luigi and Enrico Castiello – drums and guitar.
