Last year at the end of the article on Carnivale we wrote “a huge success for the organisers of this event and one which next year will probably be even more attended once word goes round the city this morning on just how well it was organised and attended” and in fact that is just how it turned out at the Carnevale on the Fosso last night as midnight came round and the restaurants started to empty as everybody then moved up to the large tent erected on the car park at Fosse for dancing until 3 am with DJ Dior
Estimates vary on just how many costumed and masked figures were milling round the Fosso during the evening and late into the morning but probably more than 1000 would be a very good estimate, making the event after just its third year of being in existence, once again the largest evening carnival event in the valley.
Alla fine pioggia è stata, ma questo non ha certo guastato la festa, o meglio, il Baccanale di Barga, appuntamento ormai alla sua terza edizione e che si è confermato una scommessa vincente degli amici dell’associazione “Per B.A.RG.A”, ma soprattutto evento irrinunciabile per giovani e meno giovani di tutta la zona.
Maschere a non finire, di tutti i tipi e di tutti i colori; alcune davvero elaborate e ben curate, le altre tutte divertenti per una vera e proprio esplosione generale di colori in tutto il centro storico di Barga ed in particolare sul Fosso, sotto il tendone dove al suon della musica mixata dal dj Viglio si sono ritrovati in centinaia.
Gran pienone anche per i ristoranti ed i locali aperti nel centro storico di Barga con una menzione speciale per il ristorante Scacciaguai e per i suoi avventori: qui una festa a tema, a tema Festival di San remo. Bella l’idea, ottima l’organizzazione e davvero notevole impegno di tutti i partecipanti che hanno presentato canzoni e soprattutto personaggi musicali con somiglianze a volte spettacolari.
Insomma tutto ok, a parte un po’ di pioggia. Per il resto è stato tutto come doveva essere e soprattutto il “Baccanale” si è confermato un successo ed un appuntamento ormai irrinunciabile tra gli eventi barghigiani.
