The Addicted – the interview – the video

Finally after four weeks we get the see just who it is who produced The Addicted cartoon.

Daniele Lazzarini and Leslie Sherburne Millar came into the barganews office this afternoon and recorded a brief interview giving us a further insight into their working methods and just what they are planning in the future.

By the sound of things they are thinking seriously about making a short film based around The Addicted and are looking for somebody to get behind the camera and move the drawings over onto the small screen. Any film makers out there who would like to accept their challenge?

In the meantime, at the bottom of this article there is a short video.  It is another collaboration between Barga artists – this time musicians – Alessandro Rizzardi and Fabio Guazzelli, two of the founding members of the Aristodemo’s who have composed and performed a sound track for The Addicted.

Back in 2007, there was a regular comic strip on the site called DA ARISTO (it can be seen here) Since then it has only appeared on very odd occasions and has more or less settled into the dust BUT every week, once a week, for the whole of September we will be publishing a brand new strip cartoon to keep you all (hopefully) amused and entertained.

The title is “The Addicted” and is the culmination of a project by two local artists- Dan and Les.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado, we proudly present for your delight and delectation, the final instalment of The Addicted – story by Dan, drawings by Les

  1. Bravo e brava, Dan e Les. You’ve really captured the style and atmosphere of classic fumetti perfectly. Even the pseudonyms are just right.
