Already last week they knew that they had won the championship and they celebrated in style (article here) – that night the party went on until 3.am.
The Gatti Randagi football team and their supporters were out on the road again this evening with a cavalcade of cars and scooters, horn blowing and flags waving but this time led by a tractor and trailer kitted out for the occasion with a generator and music centre.
As you can hear in the audioboo below, the team were celebrating in style at Riccardo’s outside the main gates of Barga Vecchia and just to let people know were they were and just what was going on, they occupying the main gate into the city draping huge Gatti Randagi Champions flags from the top of the medieval entrance to the city.
Barga fully expects that tonight the party will go on until dawn, after all its not every day that you win the Championship (especially after 20 years of trying)
