A new stall at the monthly market in Barga Vecchia this morning featuring the work of the artist Jose Delgado.
Jose, originally from Lisbon, Portugal but a resident of this area for many years, has been recycling objects which people generally discard and turning them into art.
As you can hear in the interview at the end of this article, Jose is pretty excited about the reasons behind why he makes this work.
A little patience will be needed when listening to the interview as it is between someone with mother tongue English and the other in mother tongue Portuguese and both attempting to talk in Italian but in the end you will get the message – recylcing can be fun and sometimes make you think.
