So it has been a very, very long winter but finally the summer has arrived and the pace of life is starting to pick up again in Barga as more visitors to the city arrive.
The city has been sleeping for most of the winter but now it is time to wake up and prepare for the summer season.
The place is being smartened up (article here) and even it is very late in the day, a spring clean is in the air.
Its time to open the shutters, sweep out the dust and get everything back up and working again.
In the barganews office in Piazza Angelio just that is taking place: new books are being put up on the shelves in the library, the computers are being overhauled and the slide show in the window that has been a constant interest to passersby is once again back up and working.
