During the summer the LIBECCIO is a breeze coming in off the sea and towards the mountains.
The idea was to use LIBECCIO as a metaphor for a series of exhibitions during the summer months of work by artists living and working on the coast and exhibited here in Barga which is situated in the mountains.
A fresh look at some ideas, concepts and images by working artists not normally seen in this area who although only a couple of hours away by car are separated by the mountain range between Barga and the nearby sea.
It is intended that the LIBECCIO series of exhibitions, installations and performances will be a refreshing and bracing experience both for the artists and viewers.
