The changing of the guard at Aristo’s – the famous bar in Barga Vecchia which had been without a doubt the unofficial cultural centre of Barga and run by the Casciani family for three generations officially closed its doors in 2014 and was no longer a Casciani family business.
Marino retired and handed over the running of the bar to his apprentice of five years – Lorenzo Togneri.
That changing over occurred one year ago today – (full article, images and speech by Lorenzo can be seen and heard here) and so to celebrate their first year of business, the Da Aristo team put on a birthday party for its customers.
A good part of the band, The Aristodemo’s where on hand to supply the music and the party was off and running.
