There has been nothing but gloomy news for the past three or four days in this area as people clear up some of the damage after the strong wind that swept through the valley during the night of 4th/5th March.
Damage has been done but this is a mountain area and the people of a mountain area are resilient, resourceful and well used to rolling up their sleeves and getting down to sorting out some of the problems that life throws at them.
Today the spring is definitely in the air – spring flowers and blossoms are blooming and men were out in the fields and vineyards preparing the vines for the coming growing season.
